Hello. I'm new to the forum. My son just picked up a very nice, original and well kept 1978 Volare wagon. 48k miles, 225 6, split bench front seat. Other than a few very small spots of surface rust on the hood and a couple of other areas it is remarkably rust free. It sat in storage from 1996 until October 2025.
The previous owner went through the brakes and fuel system including a new tank, carb and pump. Several vacuum lines were also replaced.
It needs some carb tuning and we're fighting an erratic idle and stalling. Almost like it's running out of fuel. I'm going to check the float level today as well as check for more vacuum leaks.
I'll have my son join and post some pictures. We're looking forward to seeing what everyone else has and picking some brains for tech advice too.
Eric.

Welcome to the forum, sounds like a great wagon! Feel free to start a thread about it and share photos, details and any plans you might have for it.

Ive had a couple F body wagons one Aspen and one Volare with the Volare being the nicer of the two. Post some photos and let us see what you have.

Also Check the Power Bake Booster for a vacuum leak.... Sounds like a fun ride....
