Hey guys. Just signed up here to get some more info about restoring my dads 68 Fury II 2 door hard top.

Heres a few pics of the car:

The car hasnt been driven/moved since 1982. Its in surprisingly good condition, floor pans arent rotted out, chrome all there(except a trim piece on the DS), it even had 8 new spark plugs in the trunk!

My plan is to drop in a mildy built 318(originally had 318 but lost all compression when my aunty put diesel into it) and get the car into driveable condition. After awhile Ill either get a 440 six pack or 426 Hemi, paint it and redo the interior.

Hey welcome to Mopar Forums, as far as interior stuff check legendaryautointeriors.com
It all depends on the money you want to spend on the car too. My first suggestion would be get as much info on the car as you can, ie: a manual and see what is in the car already ie: tranny, rear end etc etc.
Ask all the questions you want, there is a real good group of lunatics here to help ya.

I dont really know for sure. Im thinking around 4-5 years, maybe less. It was parked/engine seized in 82 and he turned 16 in 76.

I think the odometer says 67,xxx miles, but its probably been rolled over once.

As you will find out, there are alot of people on here that are becoming owners of the old '60's "C" bodies lately. [like yours] Might br the next big thing. Hopefully the aftermarket will step up and put more stuff out there for them. Suggestion: stick a 360 smallblock in it. not that much harder to find than a 318 and a bunch more torque. Just what you need. If your getting the 318 for free then yeah, I understand, use it then.
