New Member looking for info

Hello all, i'm new to the whole fourm thing so bare with me. I'm looking to buy a pro street daytona ( have my eye on a couple) and was courious if anyone here has driven one or owns one? Any particulars that I need to be concerned about or look for with this type of ride? I've owned a number of mopars but nothing tubbed. I want something different, I love the pro street look and have always wanted one.
Currently I own a 60 New Yorker 413 golden Ram 75K miles believed original ( and for sale). 09 Challenger R/T B5... awesome car! I recently picked up a 55 331 fire power hemi which I'll play with later in life. My driver is a 08 2500 cummins powered beast! Sorry for being long winded but I needed to get that outta my system.....Any help with the Daytona purchase would be great.

Welcome to the forum... Can't really help with the driveability of a Daytona but just don't try to make a true race car a street machine. Some of the rear suspensions aren't made for turning corners. Especially on wet streets.....

First of all, Welcome to the forum. I think we have all been where you are at some point, so don't let it get to you.

What year are you looking for? A '69 Charger Daytona, or the late model that were used as turbo cars? Both, IMHO have a place in the pro street scene. I had a buddy once that took an ~'86 charger and put a 440 in it. That monster was FAT.

Agree with the above...WE LOVE PICTURES here Get some up...SOON! LOL

As for your questions, I think knowing what year you are looking for will be of great importance in your search. I can imagine that the B-Body afficianatos will be able to answer just about any question about the '69 Charger Daytona. That being such a rare bird ( No pun intended ) it might get frowned uppon by many a purist if you pro street one of them. The later cars ( 80s and up ) on the other hand, I'd like to find one of the turbo cars myself to play with as a driver. But who knows...

Good luck in your search.
