New to the Mopar scene

Hello to all, just found this forum and hopefully you can help me out with a question.I am just getting back into the car scene and after numerous road trips and trying to cover my basis we think we have found a decent 1970 swinger 340 4 spd. But I have one question before we finalize the deal which will be later today. This car has gone through a decent restoration likely in the last 10 or so years. It is missing the fender tag as well as the door tag, serial # fifth digit is the letter "H",seventh letter is "R" this tells me that it is a 340 built in Canada. I know the fender tag will tell me more but what effect will this have by not having it on the car in the future or for appraisal now, should it affect the asking price. Can we get a reproduction fender tag. Sorry if this is brief should have done some more googling before now. Thanks for all input Jeff

Welcome!

For value, it all depends on the detail of the restoration and how close to factory it is. If someone just "rebuilt" it, then there is really no value in having the tags, IMO.

Thank you, look forward to future conversations in the forum. The car has some mild changes to it like headers and sub frame connectors other than that it is pretty much stock not cut up or full of bondo. Sublime green with black interior. I went ahead and cut the deal on it and will have it back home here on the 3rd of Sept and will try to post a picture or two. Thanks again Jeff
