New to moparforums! 53 crannie!

Hi everybody,

I'm new here and am glad to get in the forum. I'm at the moment on the way to improve my 53 plymouth cranbrook (dropped spindles, discs and airbags, frenched headlights,...)

Here's a picture of it, in it's present original shape (not for so long!)

and another one (photoshoped) in it's future shape (gonna take a long time)

Have a nice day!

Matt

Thanks everyone for welcoming me!

A little more about this car...

I own it for about 9 years now (my first car as a student), I have run it with original flat 6 and hy-drive 3 speed manual some during one year then had to rebuilt engine and trans (due to many leakings, cooling systems, clutch slipping,...).
I still had troubles with the trans (I've done it by myself with low skills so...) then I decided to go for a 318+ auto trans from a '78 Lebaron and a new power assisted rack and pinion. It runs really well but doesn't handles so good, that's why I'm really wanting change the way it goes and also looks.

I'm about to lower it, bag it, rebuilt the front and rear ends, convert to front discs + master cylinder with booster. Finish the 6 to 12v conversion and french the headlights. I'll post pictures of the work as soon as I'll be into it!

See you later!

Matt

Nice sled. I like the look with the B pillar pulled, just don't let any fat chicks on the roof. How far are you going to french the lights?

Well said for the chicks! I'll have to take care. I'm wondering if I could add some rigidity by welding some tubes at the top arch of the side windows...

and about the frenching, I'm quite hesitating between this way...

and this way, maybe even more deeply...

I'll let you know with pictures!
