New from Ohio
Thought I'd say hi. Just recently got back into Mopars after about a 5 year break. Then I happened across a 53 New Yorker with a 331 Hemi in it. Couldn't resist so here I am.
I plan on a conservative restoration on the "land yacht" then offing it and buying an A-body.

331 Hemi
These engines where excellent and simple to work on.
A piece of trivia, the 55 plymouth was the first year for a V8 in that line. They had a strike in the engine plant, so to get the new cars to the show rooms on schedule for the open houses, they installed 331 Hemi's.
The V8 for a 55 plymouth was a 259 and the first Fury's where 56 and they had a 303.

Don't see many around me either. I'd venture to say, most of 'em probably gave up their drivetrains for hotrods and ended up scrapped or got little "mouse" motor transplants. It's kinda growin' on me but I'm still partial to A bodies.
