New from TN

Just dropping by, I'm about to head to NY and pick up my Grandpa's '79 Magnum that he bought brand new. It's been sitting for around 20 years or more, but has never seen the snow. It will soon reside in East TN with me. Does anyone know the width of the wheelbase on the front tires from outside of tire to outside of tire? I'm going to have to tow it back and most of the trailers/dollys I'm finding have width restrictions. Thanks!

i'm not sure of the width either but if your towing on a wheel dolly remove the drive shaft or destroy your trany.

That one I knew, kind of curious how hard it will be to get it out since it's been there since 78

Funny enough, I had already messaged him. I've yet to hear back though. I did put off getting it until the Spring now since the weather wasn't ideal for towing it back.

Welcome, Take a yoke off an old drive shaft and bungy it in so you don't leak all the trany fluid out the tail of the trans while rolling down the road.

Thanks for the advice. Due to weather I had put off the trip up to get the car, still need to figure out the wheelbase so I can find out if it will fit on the 2 wheel dolly.
