Hey everyone, new to the forum but not to Mopars!
I have a 1977 Dodge Power Wagon 440.
My father got me into Mopars very young! So far i have owned a 1970 Plymouth Satellite, 1974 Dodge Challenger 360 4bbl ( Stupidest trade i have made ever! Only 6,000 made and i traded my dad straight up for a 78' D200 with a mild 440, then sold that for cheap)
Right now i am currently in the process of restoring/building the truck. It has the 440 in it, but i also have a spare im building its a 440 block out of a 69' Roadrunner, i have 915 heads for it and a high rise manifold. Thinking of a 750 Offroad carb. Havent pulled the cam out of it yet so nothing to reference there, the pistons are 9.5:1 TRW's everything is balanced already just need to send the heads and block in for a good cleaning.
I have two questions!
1) Has anyone used the Six Pack setup in a 4x4 application and how does it perform?
2) Gear drive or chain? preferences and current applications!

Welcome!
While a 6 pack is cool, I would not run it on a 4x4 truck (especially if you are going to be wheeling it). If anything, duel quads or a large 4 barrel is the way to go. Tuning 2 carbs is easier that tuning 3.
Gear driven timing is great as there are no chains to stretch and your timing stay more true. I'd install a gear set if you have the extra $$$.

Thanks! Ive always loved the sound the gear drive makes too!
One day i would love to have a six pack setup, ive always heard my dad talk about how awesome it is when all three are wide open and screaming!
Definately keep all posted on the build! I am almost schoolgirl giddy about getting this motor done!
