rim width/tire width clearances

having difficulty finding oem specs for width/offset of wheels.
have not yet taken posession of vehicle

already convinced 235R70 15 tires will fit with clearance ...but, am not sure if 15 x 8 wheels will be suitable as oem wheels were 14 x ? ... 6 ?

(with zero offset, i've been informed), an increase from 6" (probable) to 8" wheel width will consume more well space....
Question : will it clear or not, if i put
15" x 8" rims mounted with 235 R70 15's ?

The tire size is not very large, I have a 60s vehicle with small rear wheel wells and they fit with 7" wheels. I would think it would completely depend on what offset the 8" wheels are.

thnx

the info given with my original inquiry includes
...zero offset.

the tire itself does not concern me, except for how its positioning will be affected by using 8" wide wheels instead of 5 1/2" or 6" wide wheels (my unknown oem factor)...which will (w/ zero offset) take up 1" - 1 1/4" extra space in both positive & negative directions.
both the centerline & the sidewall vertical tangent plane of the tires will remain the same, but what i dont know is, if the interior surface of the wheel, outside of where tire bead seats, will have sufficient clearance....say from ...for example, the shock/shock mounting pad

if i had posession of the vehicle already, i would simply look & measure.
but i dont yet, & for now i am preplanning potential upgrades.

Nonetheless, Thank You...your feedback is appreciated.
