Good to hear DX land and the skip land are running hard.... Guess this little 2 watt Radio is getting out to the EastSide...lol
RCI 2950 Ranger.....In the Diesel 2 Mobile.. Be back'in on out, and getting 10-10 On the side.. We going too be QSY to 27.455 LSB on your 2 way radio communicator..

Wow, blast from the past. I ran a Galaxy Pluto and a Cobra 148DX both with D104M mikes a small Boomer 250 with wilsons in the mobiles and a modified Cobra 2000GTL with lollipop and an Antron 99 stick for the base. spent most of my time at 26.885. We had a small group of guys there. I miss those days! BTW, i still have all the rigs...

Base here was ether a TRS Challenger..... Palomar 250...With A Sigma 5/8 wave.... Still got that one.....
Also Have my current base... Cobra 148DX.... Hooker 400 Kicker... MoonRaker-4 beam.....

Truck: Current radio is a Galixy 5 with a Texastar 250 Kicker with a Wilson..
I blowed up my Ranger RCI 2950...lol
I also Have a Hygan/5 and and Cobra148gtl with the finals out of it....

Good Time....Walking the Dog !!!!!!! in My pee nut radio Days....

Started talking Radio Back in 1975 with an old SBE 23 Channel radio.
My handle is Diesel 2 on the AM side
And OSS258 or just (258 in the Pickup).. The Oss Stood for (Ontario Single Sidebanders) Here in SO-CAL....

I had lots of fun back in the old radio days......

Nice, my first rig was a birthday gift in '77 it was a Johnson 23 channel base with a starduster antenna. I was on top of a ridge so I had a pretty decent run (10 miles or so) which was cool for a 13 year old kid. When I got the galaxy, 20-30 miles in the mobile was the norm, better without hills. I should have kept some of the skip logs I had, England and Jamaica were regulars for me.
