Exclamation Holley 2210 Carb, stalls off idle

Does anyone have experience with this carb. It was rebuilt by a shop. I installed it and did the timing. Im able to let it idle but as soon as i accelerate it dies, if i hold the choke partially closed i am able to accelerate. let it go ad it dies. I closed off all vacuum hoses to ensure i did not have a vacuum leak. even sprayed carb cleaner around the intake. So now i am not sure whats up.

im gonna venture a guess and say that the idle is set too lean or maybe possible accel pump problems.

Is the accelerator pump functioning? When you move the linkage off-idle does the pump lever start moving immediately like it is supposed to? Ya dig?

Ok well thanks guys, I took the carb apart and it had some crap in it. Not sure how it got in there so I cleaned it out. Cut the fuel line off before the pump and added a new line and placed it in a gas can. turned it over to pump out what ever was in the pump into a clear jug untill it came out clear. then ooked up the carb. It ran much better how ever i had to keep the choke closed withmy hand to keep her running. I was able to limp it from storage to home. Burned a tone of fuel. Ive decided to rebuild the motor and since its a 76. Tried all your suggestions played with the misture never improved.

Thanks again.. Ill keep it posted as i do more work.,

Well I never did find the problem, But I think it may have been more of a timing issues. I pulled the motor and the timing chain had alot of play. Its possible it skipped a tooth but who knows, The power valve was new at the time and still acted the same. Carb was rebuilt for the 3rd time

it sounds like power valve wats your idle vacuum if its 12 hg you'll need a 6.5 power valve the rule is half of idle manifold vacuum 14 hg 7.5 power valve, the rebuild kit most likely contained the wrong power valve
