Trunk lid won't stay open

On my 94 Intrepid it appears that the trunk lid is help open by torsion bars. My trunk won't stay open if there's a slight breeze or if I'm parked on a hill facing up.

Is there a fix for this besides having the torsion bars replaced?

Read what?

The Hayes book doesn't have anything about this issue. What other source might I read in the future?

The Haynes manual will tell you what kind of trans it is. the 41te is a popular one, but lets be sure. Some nss are on the shifter and some on the trans. Give us all the info and we'll put you right! RTFM.
