CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, Fourth annual O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Right Lane: Wally Stroupe Runs 6.801/202.24, Now #1
Weather conditions: air temperature 63 degrees, relative humidity 49 percent, barometer 29.58 inches, adjusted altitude 1,139 feet, track temperature 79 degrees.
Stroupe with Elite Motorsports this weekend and makes his first pass of the weekend...he makes his career best pass. Wally Stroupe's incremental times: 60ft-1.014 sec., 330ft-2.844, 660ft-4.370/161.67 mph, 1,000ft-5.689.

That was weird...it appeared the car spun hard and then it was like he did a quick pedal job...
Left Lane: Robert Patrick Runs 6.624/208.59, Now #17; Best prior run: 13.898/61.59, Was #20
Right Lane: Grace Howell Runs 10.592/115.75, Now #20; Best prior run: 17.473/35.89, Was #21
