225-400 swap
my grandfather gave me a 1985 dodge pickup. beautiful shape, tennisee truck, no rust. one problem it has a 225 slant 6. im buying a 1977 chrysler cordoba with a 400 for 300 dollars. anyone every heard of this swap? anyone have any ideas to help me? Im 17 and i need all the help i can get!

Well the dodge trucks use to have big blocks in there and the frames did not change much at all, if at all over those earlier years. You'll need a set of big block motor mounts, a mount for a 727 tranny (if your going with an auto), a set of headers for a 2wd truck with a BB, and a big block radiator. There is really not that much else.
I did a swap like this years ago but with a 383 BB. There is plenty of space for that 400 in there. Swap out the rear axle though unless you plan on being gentle with it.
