ok my 1979 Dodge Adventurer has been having some issues with the lights going at lower RPMs, higher RPms brighter lower their dimmer, my stereo also being affected, the alternator is also over charging the battery to 16 volts, now i changed the voltage regulator and now the voltage is down to 14.33, but the problem is still there just not as bad. What do you guys think?

actually. the problem is in the design of the dodge trucks. very poor it's sad to say. The first thing you should do is run the power to the headlights through RELAYS. This will greatly reduce the voltage drop to the headlights. It will also increase the voltage to other components that are fed through the firewall/fuse block. Look up www.madelectrical.com and go to their "tech" section. They have complete explanations of the "how to" part of fixing your headlights with relays. They also have a section on "bypassing the AMP gauge in the dash" that actually uses an old Dodge truck (late '70's) to explain WHY the original setup was not good. It shows how to use a voltmeter in the dash instead thus eliminating alot of the Dodge truck electrical issues. Any way, hope this helps.....remember if anything........ENJOY!!
