CUSTOM WORK trying at least

so I had an extra nose cone for my 1974 dodge dart swinger and I have decided to try to remove the point/beak from the front of the cone heres my progress so far

K got the welder working a bit better and cleaned the work bench im going to place a dodge emblem were the nose has been flatened

Thats not his workbench.....that is his KITCHEN TABLE! Gearheads RULE!
Welds did look a bit hot though. But it doesnt look like flux-core. Some thin copper sheet, or leafs held behind would act as a heat-sink, and also provide a non-stick backing for filling gaps. They can easily be found at a recycling center where all the crack-heads sell their stolen loot! I bought some steel cut into strips in 22, 20, and 18 ga steel so I could practice and get my settings dialed-in before hitting the car. Good on you for trying something different!
