Smile help me with my fifth ave!

Hey guys i need some suggestions. im planning on building up the engine in my fifth ave. here are some mods ive done and some i plan on doing. i want it to be streetable though.

engine started as a stock 318 with the 302 fast burn heads and lean burn
and the always shitty carter 2bbl carb-pointless

replaced lean burn with electronic ignition from summit racing

installed summit performance headers and a 2.5 inch dual exhaust with thrush welded mufflers on it

removed the air contioning and all fo the smog stuff

removed cats

electric water pump

electric radiator fan

my to do list

i want to port and polish the heads maybe mill off .05 inches
i have a holley street dominator 4bbl intake waiting for a carb
was thinking either an edelbrock performer, a holley 4160, or a holley double pumper.
360 2bbl cam
i believe thats all i have planned for the motor. all suggestions are welcome thanks.

A little larger cam is always good, especially with a set of ported and polished heads. I would go with a holley 4160 600 CFM carb on that street dominator intake.

any reccomendations on a cam besides a stock 360 2bbl. i want an increase in power but i dont want my acceleration to suffer. its my daily driver and i want to take it in street class drag events so i want all the torque i can get but i dont want the top end hp to suffer either and i dont want to rattle all of the bolts out of it

a small hydraulic cam about .460 lift and 225 @ .050 lift. 110LSA, somewhere in that vicinity. Use a 600 holley vacuum secondary, 4160.

any idea on what would have to be done? but i do like the ticking that a flat tappet cam makes but after reading that oil topic im kinda scared. ive been using zmax and stp oil addative if im gonna go with a roller cam do i just have to replace the cam and lifters or do i have to replace the pushrods and rockers as well?

you can keep flat tappered cams
just use a oil with zinc in it
going roller cam means new lifters and cam
not sure about pushrods and rockers though

Since you want to port and polish the heads, roller rockers would be a good idea. So you might want to look into swapping to a roller cam.
