my brother swapped his 318 for his monster ....440 73 swinger dart
he didn't even need to change the mounts he used a manual master cylinder from a road runner i think it was 70
he made his own custom exhaust out to the rear bumpers he had 2 glass packs and 2 turbos
i tell you wat i got a post in here some where you need to find it be cause that is a killer combo oh man !!!!

Good resource for 440 in an A body is Schumacher Creative. Motor mount and Tri-Y headers that fit great. Problem up front with clearance between water pump pulley and radiator. Look up a Ford Contour SVT electric fan on eggbay and try to find one made by TYC.

You will need a radiator with a 24" wide core to run this fan but it blows like hell.

see now we're talkin. the old ones are still the better. the new is cool, but nothing beats a sixties classic

a stock 69 dart will not have a 273, maybe a 340 or a 318. the last year for a 273 was 1967. the 318 in the 60s was not a high performance engine. just the 273 and 340.

68 satellite had the 273 still
Exhaust will be the big headache , Schumaker has the tri Y which doesn't flow very well but fits well , I think TTi has a header for this combo though , you really do not want to go the Hooker fenderwell header , it causes interference with the front tires , the K frame will work , I would use a clutch fan with the Jaguar clutch , very short & efficient . If you want power brakes you will need a raised small diameter booster .

my brother ran the stock performance exhaust manifolds on his
if we had a pipe bender we would copy that design make our own headers
