are you going to get new gaskets? if so just cut around the rim of the glass on the outside with a razor and then when you can see the edges of the glass just push the glass out carefully. If you plan on reusing your old ones, the only way to do that is if you gaskets have the strip lock. If they do just get a small flathead and open up the lock on the gasket and bend the lip and carefully get the glass out.

No, its not normal. its safety glass and should come out in 12 MILLION pieces. Maybe I'll just wait for my glass guy to get out of jail.
