Restoration Books

Can anyone recommend any good restoration books, mainly for a 67 GTX?
I am looking for a book that has all the paint colors and codes for all the parts, engine specs, etc........

Basically a book that has everything.
Does anyone have one or know of a good one that they can recommend?

I would start with the Factory Service Manual. For part finishes I haven't seen anything in print other than various magazine articles.

Do you have any experience with the Factory Service Manual?

I use the FSM for reference on all systems in the car, suspension, brakes, body panels, interior, electrical, engine and trans specs. I find it to be invaluable with loads of exploded view drawings. The paint and interior codes are in the back of the book. I got mine from Bishko books off Ebay for about $60 and it is worth every nickel.

have you had any trouble finding the paints from the codes, or cross referencing the codes since some were probably changed since the 60's?

Did we have this conversation on the other site? Using the factory codes my painter was able to cross reference PPG basecoat/ clearcoat. Match is very good although much deeper gloss due to base/clear. Even without the paint and int. codes the FSM is full of every detail about Bevederes, Satellites and all the GTX only features.
