I bought a vinyl top from Classic Industries for my '70 RT Challenger and have studied up on a couple videos for install. My concern is around the B Pillar (or rear quarter panel) where there appears to be extra material or just a poor fit. We left it out in the sun for a while in hopes it would settle more but it didn't. Has anyone done an install of one of these? Is this typical or is the vinyl top from classic defective? Any thoughts/experience is appreciated.
Installing a double seem vinyl top for a first time DIYr probably isn’t recommended. Primary concerns are keeping the vinyl square on the roof and wrinkle free around the pillars. The vinyl appears to be correct for the vehicle but I would not recommend installing it if you haven’t done it before!

Thank you for the thoughts Iowan. We have installed a couple vinyl tops before but never on a mopar. Just did a mustang coupe a couple weeks ago but the material wasn't as thick and softened better in the sun. My concern is what appears to be extra material around the b pillars as seen in the photo. My question is, is this a defect in the product or typical?
