I have a few projects going.

Just uncovered the MasterCraft after a year and a half as I didn't take it out last year, and all of the billet and cast aluminum in the engine compartment is in need of cleaning and polish.
I see about 10 work hours to get it right...

It's almost May.... and June is coming up quick!

Sweet ride!

Im in the process of starting a stroked 408. What did you use in yours? Crank, rods, cam? etc... You happy with the quality when you got the parts?

Well that is a build that tops all i've seen but here is my progress on my 73 charger passenger quarter is sanded to bare metal it had at least 10 coats of paint/primer on top of pink bondo skim coat and somebody used spot putty to fill some decent dents/holes i ground/cut everything out and welded in fresh metal, massaged the dents out [as best i could] welded up any holes [vinyl top trim] and im in process of filling [duraglass] smoothing and primer/sealer passenger side.

I have been working on my 72 Duster and rebuilt the whole driveline. Then started to do the body work, the car is from Arizonia so there is no rust at all. But 40+ year of use was not kind to the old girl. She has dings & dents on her that I coulnt even see. I had a body shop friend come over and pointed out so many body problems that now she is getting new sheet metal on the left side. Grandma must of hit the garage or something down the whole left side. Why was grandma driving a 340 Duster??????? It is now a 360 the block was cracked when it arrived here in the NE it had water in it. So I bought a 360 (no 340s to be had) Bored it 30 over And built it up for street use and pump gas. It is wild and doesnt make much vacuum so well see what happens. So when it get back home There is still a pile of stuff to go back on the car. It sounds real mean with open headers loading and unloading it from the trailer. But the exhaust is hear and will have to stiffle her so the neighbors dont complain. My neighbors are quite a ways away but it echos down through the valley like thunder. When I was doing the breakin with zinc additive a 2500 rpm rev with a few WOT stabs a person driving by stopped an said he could hear it about a mile away. Then he thought it was a 440 and couldnt believe it was a small block. I just got 4 rally wheels for a 72 Duster and never knew there was one year that the center caps different and that was in 72. So there being powder coated now and I should have them back tomarrow.I also found a brand new set of BF goodrich comp TAs I got them for dirt so that was an awsome find. You guys were talking about garages I will be hated by all if I told you what size my garage is the one on the house is 28x40 and the one detached and behind the house is 40x100 with a man cave inside it. which includes a bathroom, kitchen, living room, lifts washbay and of coarse a kennel for my boys. Ill post pictures of the car and garage as soon As I learn how.

68 RR slush-box- Maaco special!!!

Piddily stuff so far for me: 1. water pump, 2. seals, gaskets, 3. front end tie rod ends, bushings etc. the biggie now is electricals-no turn signals. I am not electrically inclined or skilled, but am willn to take a shot at it. Getting shematics so will see if I can't get a "charge" outa doin this. Only had the car 2 mos. Love it. Former mustang man-convert to mopar... I'm big into accesories for car shows like: signs, rr birds and coyotes, and the history of the car. It is an antique and a historical vehicle- many teens don't even know what it is!!!

New project, first b-body

Just bought a nice 69 rr rm23 car, previous owner took a non numbers matching hemi out of it as it is a factory 383 car. Am I right or wrong in assuming that the hemi would've needed a different k member or did he just have to use different mounts. It's my first resto so need some help. I would love to go back in with a hemi but my luck isn't that good so I will settle for he 383 I have. I hope he just used the original k member. I would ask him but he would be 2 previous owners ago.

Just Purchased a 1968 Chrysler Newport with 383 2bl. Car is solid no dents or dings, need one side of the trunk to be replaced due to rust, bought the trunk extensions. Needs the driverside floor wire wheeled and minor repair on the driverside floor. No rust or rot on the frame. whole car needs to be primed and painted, not much sanding just enough to get some oxidation off. Motor was sent out and redone by previous owner who had all receipts of work already done to the car, he had about $2000 into the car already and i paid $2000 for it, I know I might have paid a little bit much but the fact that the cars underneath was overhauled such as brake lines and undercoating I don't think it was a bad deal. There were new brake shoes on the car and it needed wheel cylinders. replaced all 4 wheel cylinders yesterday, bled the rears and then started bleeding the front passenger side and the new cylinder leaked all over the shoes now those are ruined. Now I am taking all the wheel cylinders off returning them and getting wagners or bendix. Some brand named tru-torque I bought and they were more expensive than the wagners or bendix. so a little set back right now. But the hardest part has been breaking the bolts for the backing plates off being they have never been removed but now they come off no problem so the wheel cylinders will go in the front much easier now. Anyone else run into that problem of new wheel cylinders leaking? I know you can get 73 c-body spindles and convert to discs but those are not the easiest to find. Did I do something wrong, i used the old pin like metal pieces that hit the shoes from the old cylinders which were not rusted at all and removed the boot to put them in but held it together to prevent the cylinder from blowing out, maybe thats why it leaked or it's because the new cylinders were junk to begin with. Well thats as far as i have gotten to this point owning the car for 2 weeks, the longest part is waiting for the parts in the mail. So far only in about $360 with parts, fluids, extensions, rust remover, sand paper, wire wheel and other misc.

Well depending on my luck I'm hopefully going to be getting a 74 Plymouth Trailduster and restoring it. It's fitted with a 4bbl 360, so I hope this works out.
