1967 440 engine question.

1967 440 engine question.

I found a guy who is selling a 1967 440 paired with the original 727. It came off a motorhome. My question is, are the motorhome engines the same used in the cars? Is there a difference in compression etc...

Yes and No. Maybe 1/2 point lower. It depends on the heads some have the water pump mounted up hi to the heads which would have to be changed along with the heads them self, and probably the oil pan. The trans It depends Some of the bigger motor homes use a HD version of the 727 called a load flight ? It is physically larger. SO you need to see pictures. Could be a good deal or a bucket of bolts
