Cool 1970 Challenger-Needs help with electronic starter conversion.

I have put on an electronic starter conversion kit, into the distributor and when I attempt to start it makes the ballast resistor smoke the wires on the end with 2 wires. Any ideas?

I never heard of a "electronic starter conversion kit" unless your thinking of a points eleminator kit. If you can give me more info on this kit you installed like mfg, website ect. I may be able to help you
