1976 383

1976 383

I was wondering if this is the same block as the earlier 383 and I know that the pistons will need to be changed for at least decent compression and will a 915 440 heads fit also

71 was the last year for the 383 so I assume you have a 400 , best bet is a 451 stroker kit & yes the heads will swap

Thanks no A Guy was gonna get It for the tranny and he said it had a 383 but. I didn't know if it was worth getting becas I hear a lot of bad things about the later blocks

nothing wrong with later blocks in general , still a good I dea to have any block checked for thickness & core shift
