I am looking at 2006Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with 132,000 miles and he said all is good but it blows smoke on cold start but fine after it warms up. He also said he took it to a shop and they said the valves were properly sealing or seated I guess and it was causing smoke I don’t know if the 6.1 has valve stem seals like the German engines. Would this be a serious and expensive problem thanks.

 

Probably be a complete overhaul by the time you got it out of the shop 10K plus…

 

Best to think worst case scenario at this point... ASk your local shop how much to do a complete engine and the decide if its worth it to you?
