I seen a 354 Hemi at an auction yesterday. It was complete pan to lower intake. It was just rebuilt, very nice and ready to bolt in. I had no idea what it was worth so I didnt bid. Whats something like that worth? It sold for $1200.

 

Worth $1200 easy, hell it probably cost close to that just to rebuild it...

 

I wouldn't spend that on a motor unless I heard it run first (from cold start up til it was fully warm). Those motors are not really that desirable unless you are building a street rod and are going to be detailing the motor. The don't make the kind of power that the BB/RB motors do of the later years.

A lot of what it is worth is also going to depend on how much detail the rebuilder put into it and what is in it for parts. Just a freshen up type of rebuild; I wouldn't pay $1200 for it.
