Hate to ask the obvious, but what kind of "decent power" are you looking for???

curry - You are right about the power of the motorhome motors. They are a good base though for trucks that are being built how I believe you are building yours.

Give us the list of goodies that are in your Ram Charger (tranny, t-case(s), axles, tire size, gearing) and what you want for power. From there we can help you make the right decision on which motor to go with.

You could go either way on the motors. You could take the PH heads and mainfold off the 400 and throw it onto the 440.

The D60s are overkill for 33s unless you plan on going larger later. I'd leave the 4.11s in there too if that were the case.

78d200 is right on the money. D60's are overkill but you should not break them with 33's. not worth the money to change to higher gear. Why 33's? Mud bogs in Florida is over-run with tractor trucks, 33's would not go far.

My two cents worth, Go with the 440 using your HP heads, the manifold will not fit the 440. You need the torque of the longer stroked 440 to move that truck around. Stay with the 4.11 gears,as you will likely want a taller tire for any decent mud bog.
Good luck with the truck!
