Great story and I know the feeling of success...I had a 87 RamCharger that I pulled a Mack R-600 out of mud on the side of the road..When I stopped to help the guy he laughed and said there is no way you are pulling me out... I said let me try he said son you don't understand I am hooked to that semi and my chains are buried in the mud and I cant unhook them.. I said let me try it will be a good challenge if I cant pull you then there is no foul...I hooked on him turn my 4" drop hitch over and grabbed 4L I was on pavement...I felt the truck pull down in the rear and took off slow it never broke traction and pulled him and the semi out...He was also helping by keeping power to his wheels but he was totally shocked and forced me to take $50 ... That truck was a 360 with tow package with 410 gears..It was terrible on fuel like 11 mpg Just like my Hemi Ram...Bill

Many years ago my folks had a BIG 67 Buick towing a boat.
We were out at the Colorado River, My dad missed the boat ramp and buried it up to the axels.we had to get someone to pull him out. We came up with a local with a big 5T power wagon. Never missed a beat...

Cool stories! I love hearing these type things.

Pro-tech, that’s an awesome tale! I don’t suppose you got any pictures? that would be boss to see.

TVLynn, thanks for contributing!

I wonder how many other tales we’ll get.

last year we had a guy park his 3/4 ton ford in the grass and got it stuck when it poured down raining. i got my 67 valiant and hooked up my tow strap to his truck. everyone didn't think i could pull him out. i barely cracked the throttle and got him out of the mud with out even breaking the tires loose. everyone was shockedf when i told them it was a slant 6 under the hood.

This Was my 1968 Dodge D200 Service truck....
It had a 440 W/a 727 Trans
I use to take this truck with me to the drags and work on, or sell parts out of it....
I could charge batters, Sell fuel pumps . Do electrical work...Sell switches and connectors. I had a tool box with tools in it to do other repairs.....
Great truck.... After I sold My racing program off.. I sold the truck to a guy that dose Tile work..... Miss you "Old Yeller"....

Hi guys, I'm new to the Forum and am kind of in a bind. I have a motor that I inherited from my father-in-law who has since passed away and I'm looking to sell it. It is a Chrylser 440 motor with a lot of work done to it. It has been garage kept for many years. Still currently wrapped in the plastic from when we got it back from the shop that did the work to it. I would even throw in the Motor stand. I am looking to sell this ASAP.

Labor done:

Disassemble
Regrind Crank
Recondition Rods
Degrease Block
R&R Cam Bearings
R&R Core Plugs
R&R Pistons
Align Bore Block
Balance Block
Recondition Heads
Resurface Cylinder Heads
Install Bronze Guides
Install Exhaust Seats Hardened
Machine for PC Seals
Degrease Misc. Parts
Assemble Long Block
Degree Cam
Check Valve Clearance
Bore & Hone Cylinders
Set Valve Spring Heights

Thank you all for your consideration and if you or anyone you know is interested, my name is Dylan, and we live in Levittown, PA. I can be reached at 267.229.9714.

awesome man.

I recently helped finish construction on a bath house for the diving school I work at. I went to Lowes and loaded an entire pallet of Quick-crete in the back of my Trailduster. That's 80 lb. bags!

The 440 pulled it like it was nothing.

Awww, cool! Man, I miss that Ramcharger but I love my pickup sooooooo much. At one point I will have another I'm sure. Yeah, the Fury is loads of fun! 318s are underrated, hard.
