63' 383 hp build rough horsepower rating?

As i posted in the "new members" forum, my dad passed away and i inherited 2 mopars, 69' charger and a 70' challenger. Long story short im building a new engine for the challenger (383). Im only 15 years old so please bear with me and im basically doing it on my own off of the stuff my dad taught me. The block is machined, .60 over, just about stock bottom end with a steel forged crank. I have the heads at a place getting hardened seats, stiffer springs, and a 3 angle job. The heads are closed chamber so it should have 9.5-10 CR according to the machinist. Has i believe 2.08 intake and 1.70? exhaust i think? im not positive with the exhaust size. But anyways, the place is getting me a magnum 292 cam with lifters as well. Im going with the mp M1 single plane intake, hooker headers,i plan on using my dads old 750 cfm double pumper he used to race with,Mallory coil, maybe a Mallory distributor and i will have hp wires.More than likely ill get either a used pair off old adj. rocker arms or go the extra mile and spend 700$ on the comp cams magnum rocker arms. Possibly an electric fan. Just bought a "10.95" mcleod super street pro clutch, im going with the e body 10.5, 130 tooth clutch/flywheel/bell housing setup. My big question is how much horsepower do yall think ill be roughly making. From what im hearing and understanding, ill be making 400-450. Am i right? Also, who is running that comp cams magnum 292 cam? does it have a nice,choppy/rough idle?

I think your around 400 or so, if you go to Comps website you can here what that cam sounds like or something close to it.

I'd look around in your dads stuff and see if there is a book called, Direct Connections, engine speed secrets, it might have a different name because mopar dropped the Direct Connection and when with mopar performance but the engine and chassis books are full of valuable information.

Ran your combination on Camquest, which some say have exaggerated numbers but It is helpful for comparative results.

Had to go to #6 performance level to get that cam to show up in the listings. Tried both #A Max Flow Single Plane and #B Hi Flow for the M1, and #A big heads and #B HP head stock valve size. The rest stayed the same.

#1 B man.+B head = 432hp 443tq.

#2 A man. +B head = 450hp 450 tq.

#3 A man. + Max head = 528hp 487tq. This would be biggest valves and porting manifold matched.

And yes, that cam will sound real snotty!
