Question 66 Fury windshield

Have new rubber to reinstall my windshield for a 66 Fury III hard top. The bottom portion is different than any I have installed. Anybody point me in the right direction as to how I seal the bottom part. Nasty wet weather coming and need it back in. Thanks

I’ve never worked on one specifically but if it’s a rubber gasket, it needs a pinch weld to hold on to. I usually start at the bottom and rope it in.

I've done quite a few rubber gasket windows but the bottom of these lays flat on the cowl.

If that’s the case then I would use a bead of urethane on the cowl and pull the rest in. I can’t say in fifty years of working on this old junk I’ve ever run across this but something needs to hold the glass down. Does it have a large molding across the lower edge?
pictures would help.

It does have a large flat lip on bottom. I have put sealer on it and hosed it down and appears to be dry.

The bottom of the 66 Fury III hardtop has a secondary inner lip that tucks into a recessed pinch weld. Apply butyl rope sealant into the rubber channel before setting the glass, tuck that inner lip over the pinch weld using a nylon pull cord from inside the car, and pack the bottom corners with windshield urethane since that is where leaks start. A soapy water spray helps slide the rubber into place without tearing it. Once done, run a bead of silicone along the interior garnish moulding at the bottom for extra insurance before the rain hits. Good luck!
