'72 Plymouth 318 question??

'72 Plymouth 318 question??

Did a "72 Plymouth Satellite 318 engine originally come equipped with a nylon camshaft timing gear or was it steel? Thanks for any info here.

All the factory small blocks used the Nylon gears Except the 340. They were usually good for 100-125K miles

A 340 dbl roller set will bolt right up to your 318

Seen 'em fail a LOT sooner than that, and I do mean fail. I hate those things.
