73 Dart sport questions

First off I guess I should say I am new to Mopars. I have always liked them and have been looking for one for a bit. I might have an offer to trade for a 73 Dart sport. I have not seen the car yet, only a few pics of it. From what I can see the car looks like it is pretty rust free on the outside. The inside looks ok but will need some work from what I can tell. The car has a 318 with a 340 cam in it, as well as edelbrock intake and carb.

Getting more to the point I have a few questions I was hoping someone here would be kind enough to answer.

Are there any trouble spots with rust etc that I need to look for on these cars?

Is a 318 the original motor for this year? I thought they were 340 cars. (like I said my knowledge is limited though.)

Is it possible to make the duster tail lights fit? ( I prefer the look) And would this be blasphemy to do so?

Also it has wide tires on the rear and says that it is shackled for them. Not to sound to much like a noob but what does that mean?

Thanks for any help you can give.

1) 1/4's, floors, rockers, bottom of fenders, trunk, ect normal rust places on any old car.

2) 318s did come in Dart Sports. The dart sport was just a different version of a Dart

3) not without modification AKA cutting out the rear panel and re welding a duster panel in. Possible, but not really worth it if you dont have to.

4) The springs have been moved in to accept a wider tire in the rear. Offset shackle

Edit: Thanks for the help, I decided not to go with this one. Back to looking!

Thanks again
