79 Lil Red Engine Wiring

Hey there,

New (sort of) to the forum. Trying to put a Lil Red back together after being stashed away for nearly 25 years. I appreciate any help i can get as I am a bit lost on the wiring connections around the rear of the carb, coil, distributor...etc.

Does anyone know what these two items are? Can i get them at the parts store.....and what connects to the circular electrical component (#2). I know that the cylindrical unit (#1) has a ring terminal that connects to the negative terminal on the coil.

Thanks for the help!!

-G

Come on everyone!!! lol I know you guys have way more knowledge than I do. The wiring is really bugging me. What does the choke thermostat plug into? It has a 5-6" lead with a female fast-on connector. Does it plug in to #2 above? I've looked up wiring diagrams but they don't seem to have any of this info....at least i am not seeing it.

Again, thanks in advance to everyone who takes a look at my issues.

Dude, that is a fricken awesome picture. Now i am betting that I have the red wire on the other terminal plugged in incorrectly somewhere.

The rear of my thermoquad has a wire coming out with a female and a male connector inline. I will send pictures of it tomorrow.

Thank you again.

Must be the Bowl Vent Solenoid... I just leave those unhooked on the power side.... But if it has the vacuum hose?? I leave the hose hooked up... But that is just me..
