AC possible or not

I just picked up a 74 cuda. E body. it has a 440 in it from a 71 cuda. the 74 was an AC equipped car. The previous owner never put it back in when he installed the BB. Will I be able to put the AC back in with the bigger engine. Looking for any input before I spend the money on a new AC unit.

I guess the answer is a qualified "yes" depending on how much you want to spend.

Did the previous owner pull all of the AC components out of the interior? If so, you'll have quite a job rounding up the entire interior heater/ AC box, controls, vacuum lines, and ducting.

If that's still all there, and the evap has been kept clean, and does not leak, replacing the underhood stuff is not really that big a deal.

Do NOT waste your money on Vintage Air.

http://rainbowproductsonline.com/ has the exact same components for about 30% less!

I have put Rainbow Air units in several of my cars.

This kit for $699 is 300 bucks more at Vintage

Buy the kit ! You can spend just as much or more trying to fix the original system. You will end up with a poor 70's system after a required switch to current R134
GO NEW.. $699? Complete kit all new parts designed for R134 $1200
