need to replace a broken ac recirculation door in an 04 ram 1500. all the service write ups in the factory manual spec removing almost the entire dash. any tips for this without having to remove everything?

 

Good luck.

You do need to remove the entire dash. It's not hard, just time consuming. Push the seats all the way back and lean them back too. This will help.

 

thanks - going to get the part tomorrow
from what i read, without the door in place - the ac is now full time in recirculation mode and grabbing only cab air to cool. that makes the fix not that much of a priority especially since it is already 100+ degrees out...

7:30 and its already 65, today is going to suck

 

We'll be lucky to hit 65* today. It's suppose to be near 70* friday and saturday and near 80* sunday and monday. After that it drops back into the mid 60s. Did I mention it's going to be sunny from today til next friday?
