Which Axle?
This is an 8 and a quarter right??

It looks to be. What vehicle is it in with what drivetrain? The 9.25 rear axles look the same but are larger than the 8.25 axles. It can be hard to tell by a pic.

Thanks for the help, is there anything i can measure to find out? Its in my 74 coronet wagon. 318 motor. 904 trans. I doubt its a 9.25 in there

Probably not a 9.25. It should be a 8.25 unless someone did a swap. You can measure the tube diameter, I can compare it to my 9.25 and let you know.

That looks like a big hole in the trunk.

yeah, the rnk looks rough ,but teh frame rails and tors. supports look great. not bad .

Thanks guys, im pretty sure its an 8.25 but i will see what i can find in the way of markings etc.
You spotted the big hole in the trunk floor then it needs this and a bit on the rear frame rails behind the trunk floor bit and work on back panel and bumper mounting are, but its not too bad. Welcome to england and how our weather makes cars rust.
