BB heads -FYI and comments
Guys -
Last year, I was seriously considering going to Edelbrock heads on the 440. The current factory heads have been ported and seemed to work pretty well. I called Edelbrock, Mancini and a few other "names" and the consensus was a consistent "don't bother". They said the improvement, if any, wouldn't be worth it or noticeable. A little surprised, this coming from the guys who sell the stuff. Guess I own them one.
BTW This is for a street engine, around 500 HP, and not a full race rig.

With the eddy heads, you have 2 or 3 cc sizes to choose from. Yes, it should keep things cooler, but I was expecting more of a seat of the pants or et change.
BTW - running measured 10.5:1 with the factory (ported heads) about 34 total advance. Kinda sucks, because the aluminum heads just look "cool"... but not 2K cool.
