Which is better????

Which would be a better engine to build a stroker engine out of a 318 or a 400?

The car weighs in about 4000 lbs. and power everything. 1978 Cordoba

400 with a 440 crank makes you a home built stroker

yeah then grind the block so the crank will clear then get rods made cuz the RB,s would be to long so would the B,s then get pistions made then you end up with a 444 (with a stock bore 400)
the kit would be cheaper

Just check out http://www.440source.com/strokerkits.htm they make it easy with their kit they also have a new website that has all their products. I am thinking about going this route since everything has been designed to work together. I can get a complete 400 for $250, but I am going to try and get the whole car so I can have all the parts I need.
