man o man. i thought i knew my 300 s. i thought the 1955 C-300 had crossed checkered flag emblems on ea front fender. what say ye bob?

yep i know that pic. and the 56 300 has the letter B in that emblem. and dont forget both the 55 300 and the 56 300 had the Imperial grills but what i think i remember is that the emblem shown was put on by hand. i thought that car had crossed flags on the FT finders. i must be remembering wrong. my dad had the chance to buy a 300 B once. coulda shoulda woulda. but dad did get a 300 J with a 500 in max engine. and i used a 300 L for 12 years. 4200 lbs 413 ci single AFB. did the 1 / 4 in 16.00.

Didnt one of the 55's modles have a G under the Checker?

 

i think nether on the stock 55 300. but hard to know what was on the 55s that was raced. i do remember seeing 3 in ext pipes on the racer 55 300s. in pics of course.
