Come on guys. That was just a question. You all are taking this way too serious.

Some of you guys I thank you for telling me that 440 is the way to go and some of you guys are just too hysterical when asked a simple question. I know that some don't like chevy parts but sometimes going different direction, expanding your options is good thing.

Thanks

Ok, first off you were talking about putting a chitty (heh hmmm) chevy motor excuse me, in one of mans finest creations. That is unless I was day dreaming and snapped out of it before I hit the bottom of this page. lol so I would say that it wouldnt be too crazy to ask a guy like you to trade a blazer for a challenger. I mean a guy ignorant enough to rape a car like that, would probably make some crazy deals. Obviously Red Devil would trully be more appreciative of the car, instead of rape it every time he starts it up. Seriously man for the money you would spend on that motor, you could find a running 426 hemi, if you keep your eyes open. That chevy wouldnt ever get close to that hemi if you just put a little time into it. Or pick up a 440 for 500 bucks somewhere and build one hell of a motor. Do yourself a favor and put what belongs to the car in it. It would save you a WHOLE LOT of embarrassment down the road. And if you do end up putting a chevy in a mopar, especially a challenger, you should come hit me or Red Devil up we will make you a good trade. And give that Chally a real home. A home worthy of a mopar!

You're not looking hard enough for a motor, you're window shopping in performance catalogues. If you can't find a 440 to build or even a 340 for that matter then I don't know what to suggest. But if you want to ruin a nice car by putting a Cheby motor in it than have at it my friend. But be warned most car guys are loyal to their brands and you will be laughed at by both camps. These cars are the ones that my friends and I shake our heads at when we see them. It's just wrong on so many levels and I hate to say it but if you don't understand this you had better re-evaluate your plan. Hey I know, buy a Ferd and put a Kia motor in it.
You know what they say, " No sense being stupid unless you can show it "

You need to remember that we are die hard Mopar people and believe that it's either Mopar or no car. Even to ask about putting another manufacturers motor into a car like that is unheard of and unthought of in our world.

If you were putting a Chevy motor in to a Wrangler for wheeling purposes because of tires, axles, added weight, wanting more power than the inline 6 could ever put out, then we probably wouldn't be saying all these things.

For the $10k that you are willing to spend on that Chevy motor, you could build a very nice BB and get a new tranny, get it into the car and be able to drive it.
