car shows?

So who will be going to car shows this year? Any special shows in your area?

I'll be trying to get back into going to most of them around my area. We usually have two, well three, big shows. There is one at the local Budwieser plant in I think July, there is one on the main strip in Manchester, and of course the one in Boston (but that one is mostly newer vehicles and whatnot).

There use to be quiet a bit of small gatherings weekly at ice cream stands and speed shops, but I didn't see that many last year. There was usually one show a month in one of the towns in NH.

Carlisle PA is the largest (YES IT IS!) Mopar show. If you are a mopar fan you have to be there. Brice road is another HUGE event. Project Dart will be all over the place this year.

crazy, ive been to the nationals in columbus every year since they moved back from indy...and the last two years in indy. its gone down hill a bit because the organizers are more interested in packing in cars and making money than they are putting on a good show...

ive been to carlisle once, maybe 8 years ago...i dont make the trip there because they dont have an on-site track. im far more interested in the racing than i am the trailer queens and junk for sale...

id love to see your car, if you come to columbus! i plan to be at the nationals with the demon and possibly one of the newer mopars.

as for local shows, we hit the woodward dream cruise every year, and this year we will have the demon, and maybe the laser. also, the walter p chrysler museum has a HUGE show every year, and this year i plan to have the demon there...its one of the bigger one day shows that i go to and i strongly recommend it for mopar enthusiasts in the area. the cool thing is that chrysler pulls out some old concepts here and there...its interesting seeing the original 1964 dart charger parked between an ME412 and an original hemi cuda vert...

I used to do alot of small time shows, but You see the same guys an cars or the same guys w/ a new car all the time, got old. I started going to this local guys house. every year him and 2 neighbors have a car party. bout 600 cars and thousands of people. , he has a live band, food, burnout box, and other stuff going on all afternoon.last year a buddy of mine took his dragster there and fired it up for the crowd, wow. man. Its just car guys getting together, no trophys or crap like that. I do the nats at columbus every year too. Ive heard that Pa is the ultimate and blows columbus away. I just dont want to do the 12 hr. drive. I really dont have time anymore though, between my own cars and other peoples that i work on, Im in the garage at home most of the time. I dont miss it though.Im just as content sitting in the garage looking at whats sittting there. I have new people stp by all the time. they see the door up and stop. I meet several people that way. I think thats cool.
