Did the rumble bee's have the option of a Manual transmission?

Hey guys I'm thinking about buying an 04-05 Dodge Ram Rumble Bee. But any of them I find have an automatic transmission. I dont do automatics lol. So I'm curious if they were offered with a manual transmission.

I dont like buying a new car as opposed to another old school one. But I need a truck and I need something that gets a little better gas mileage than the old carbed 440 and 318 lol. I've read the 5.7 the Rumble bee comes with gets about 20 - 25 mpg on Highway and about 15 in town if you can keep your foot out of it. That would be great for me. As opposed to the 440 which gets about 5 in town(9-10 highway) lol and the 318 which gets 10 if i"m lucky in town(13-15 highway, yeah it needs rebuilt).

Not a rumble bee but that one has a manual transmission. Are you saying just the Rumble Bee's or just ram 1500's period?

All 1500s. I tried having the dealer special order one for me and they said I'd have to go with a 2500 if I wanted a Hemi with a stick. Something is fishy here.

Read over to the right of the screen where it says condition and other stuff. Says it has a manual tranny.

I'd much rather get a 6.1 but there's a pretty huge price difference between the 2. And unless I just get really lucky I wont be able to afford one. I'm gonna have to find one under 10k.

hmm thats just what I got from a quick google search. Seems I'll probably have to go a different route any how if they didnt come with a manual behind them. Not gonna spend 10 grand on something I'm not completely happy with. Might just save myself some money and do a fuel injection swap into my old celica. Its not a truck but it would solve my gas mileage problem at least.

Toyota.. Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... You will have to go Hybird to get the mileage and no sticks..
If you want my old school opinion... Get a VW Rabbit Diesel with w 5 speed... 50+ mpg, Or get the pick up.
As you can see, there coming back...
Old is now new again...
Just not on the hills....
But on the other hand a 4BT Cummins with a 5/10 speed might fit the bill...

No way I'd go hybrid lol. I'm not so broke I have to get 40+ mpg lol. If I could get a solid 25 mpg highway I'd be happy. A fuel injected 4 banger in the old 76 celica could do that easy (tiny light car). Could probably even turbo it and do some heavy mods and still get that lol. Was thinking about an SRT4 setup out of a neon.

I also love the mileage I get out of my 95 Celica 1.8, 5 speed I get 38 mpg and bought it from the dealer I worked for. For $700 I took a lot of ribbing for buying it.. they all called it a chick car... I said I don't care it is a beater car to save me money and miles on my good cars...The thing is when I brought it in the shop to go through it, they all wanted it because it was rust free and needed nothing. I did put new front tires just to be safe...Its a great little car and fun to drive...Bill

Yeah the toyota R engines are killer engines. And I already have a celica. I have a 76 celica gt liftback with a 20R 5 speed setup. Car is nearly rust free with the exception of a very small bit of cancer around where the spare tire goes in the trunk. I have a 22R bottom end in the garage I was gonna build a 20R/22R hybrid for it. But I'm kinda wanting to get away from a carbed engine. As it seems like I spend a lot more time under the hood of anything carbed than I do with any of the fuel injected vehicles I've owned. Also I'm wanting a really fun car to drive out of it. And from all the studying I've done a full race 22R puts out about 250hp. Which isnt bad when you consider the power to weight ratio. But it cost a lot to get one to put that much out. When it would cost less to do a swap with something newer. Also you get a lot more torque out of fuel injected stuff. Its gonna stay RWD btw. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do yet. Just weighing the options at this point. Who knows I may end up just building that 20R/22R hybrid for it. lol I'm not exactly the go to guy on fuel injected stuff so actually doing a swap like that would be quite a ways out of my comfort range. If I cant get a decent grasp on how to do it after a couple weeks of studying I'll probably just throw that out the window.

I've got a 4bt turbo Cummins/5 speed I'm fixin to buy from an in law as well. If I wasnt worried about gas mileage I'd throw that in there lol. Would sound kinda stupid but man all that torque in that little bitty car would be a blast.

Grab a 5SFE motor out of a newer (late 80s up) Camry. Be sure to grab all the plumbing, wiring, and the computer and just swap it over. Most of the newer injected cars are FWD but the engine stuff will still swap over.
