Bought a 1970 roadrunner back in April and want to know if the car is a satellite sport or actual roadrunner. Fendertag says its a roadrunner, title says it is too but I was told that the back windows only roll down and never came with popout windows, which would lead me to believe that this car may be a satellite. Can anyone tell me the differences in the 2? I know the RR came w a tic toc dash and satellite didn't, and the taillights are different but I need to know the other differences. thanks all.

The VIN will tell the story. Fendertags are meaningless.

Hell, VIN's are meaningless if it's been a so called "rebody."

 

RM21N0E113863. I have decoded the vin and fender tag but for all i know it could have been changed.

 

Look for VIN stamps on the radiator support or on the trunk rail under the seal, if they match the VIN on the dash and fender tag, you are golden.
