I have a 70 superbee v code car. Block is dated 1/70
Pad at bottom of block is blank. That would be where vin would normally be I think.
Pad on top reads S440. I have heard different opinions which were s is for special and the other opinion is s is for service block. I am thinking s for service block since no vin number on block. Only know history of car since 1981. Thinking block was replaced under warranty after a fun day of racing. Any input appreciated. Getting ready to put car up for sale and would like to answer all concerns correctly. Thanks for all input.

Half the VIN will be on a machined pad just above the oil pan rail. I forget which side.
