I haven't used one since the 70s on a street car, if I remember correctly they look cooler than they run.

Ray -

Does the car heat up at speed or when idling/low speed ... that's kinda important.

Flex fans work, have for a long time and are about as easy as you're going to get.
I'm more familiar with the big blade types from Mr Gasket, etc, so I don't know what the cfm rating on that on is.

Electric fans would usually do a better job but can be more expensive and complicated to install, unless you can use something fairly generic.

Before you change the fan, make sure the rest of the cooling system is doing their jobs.

I asked the MP tech line once upon a time and they said the flex fan is crap and the stock fan will outperform it for cooling and hp loss!

The flex fan is decorative at best!

I throw that type in the trash..... Use the 1318 Hayden.... Space it just up inside the shroud and let it rip... If it's not under driven to much... you wont have any problems with it.. make sure to use a 180* thermostat.. I use this style on most everything I build, and have not had one let me down yet....
Providing everything else is in good working order...

Just My 2 cents....
