Fresh new broke in engine runs Rough.

I finally got my 440 started up and broke in, how ever it runs awesome up till like 2200 rpm then it starts getting rough and feels like it struggles to get to 3000 rpms shaking the whole car. Im thinking its a carb fuel to air mixture problem? i drove it around the block it ran good, though it kinda felt like it took a little bit of revving to get to to switch to 2nd gear but maybe cause the exhaust is open it just sounds more revved.

any tips how to get this to run good through all the rpm ranges? i have it idling at like 800 RPMs any lower makes it want to die when in drive and stopped cause the rpms drop while not moving in drive.

Build is below:
performer 440 intake
hughes 440 whiplash cam
rebuilt stock 906 heads
750 CFM street demon carb
9.5:1 compression
MSD 6A Box
MSD Blaster 2 coil
440 source Billet Distributor
stock stall ~2000-2200 stall
4.23 rear gears ( stock )

I never timed it other than doing what hughes cams said to do find TDC #1 then rotate it to 12 degrees BTDC and install plugs and dizzy, so it was running 12 degrees BTDC i rotated the dizzy to set my idle down from like 1500, dizzy wouldnt move anymore clockwise cause the stupiud dizzy bracket clip so i moved all the spark plugs on the cap over 1 space clock wise and rotated my dizzy to get my idle about where i wanted it then fine tuned it with my idle control screw on my carb. i couldnt get anymore than about 650 -700 RPM from rotating the dizzy so i used the screw to get it up to around 800, it was originally set to 12 degrees BTDC ive no clue what the timing is now that i moved the dizzy around and moved plugs on the cap 1 space clockwise also to get it to run how i think it should run, i know that sounds bad.

wall of text again sorry guys thanks for the help in advanced.

Oh the valve springs and everything that came with the hughes cam kit that came with the lifters, springs, cam and timing chain, guess they arn't stock, everything else is though no milling and new valves of the same stock size, hardened seats ect all done, reused the rockers though idk if that matters guy that build my long block said they were good still.

so springs should be good the came with the cam link below

another thing i didn't add if i rev the engine up then let off it doesnt run rough it only does it if i gradually increase the rpms slowly up to 3000 ( ive not been higher than that )

I had one other question I forgot to ask, how i hook up the electric choke where does the positive go, i had it hooked to my coil but it robbed too much power from my MSD and took all my spark from my plugs, i dont seem to have any other power sources that work while car is running, & heard its bad to tap it in where its a key on key off switch cause if you listen to the radio or what ever key on then it could heat up the coil and burn it up.
