Just acquired a 75 sport fury for father son project. Starts after about 4 tries. Runs but dies when putting into gear the first few tries. Son is very motivated but looking for examples of what to tackle first with the engine compartment. It’s been a while!

no doubt. Last night we replaced all the spark plugs and cleaned out the filth under the hood. Would like to degrease and clean more soon. Took out front buckets and removed carpet and found that one of the floor pans is actually salvageable but the others are toast.
