Gas Pedal stiff.

My Satellite's pedal is really stiff. Is there any way to adjust that? Also my dad want it to have a three point seatbelt. Anyone know a good webite to order then from. Would the "universal" seatbelts work?

or the cable mite be rusted or has burs on it, see it the spring is high tension, if it hard to move by hand on the carb replace it with a light tension, 3 point seat belt? doesnt a 72 have a 3 point seat belt, lap and shoulder, or just lap?i couldnt tell you where to go.. maybe yearone?

WITH THE ENGINE OFF - remove the throttle springs and see how the pedal feels. If it flops back and forth, get new lighter springS, as in two. For safety, you really don't want to run just one spring.

If, without the springs, the pedal is till sticky, it's probably the cable or pedal hinge. Try to remove the cable from the pedal, if the pedal flops back and forth, it's the cable. There are several aftermarket cables and linkages available.

If you want a FACTORY 3-point best, try calling Mopar city. For aftermarket, Summit, SK, JEGS should have something.
