Good Tools?

This past weekend I used a torsion bar removal tool purchased from a comapany that sells products gear to Mopars. I began tightening the bolts in an H pattern. I didn't get very far when one of the bright "brass" colored bolts snapped in half. The yellowish color was plate and it was black on the inside like a piece of good and plenty candy. I had not even begun to put any torque on the bolts. Junk. Next I went to a well known auto parts chain store and bought a tie rod and a ball joint separater. Four whacks on the ball joint tool and the fork part snapped off the rod handle. The metal of the fork part was bent and twisted because the metal was so soft. Not only that, the point where the rod met te fork part both were rusted on the inside and I had bought the tool only two hours before using it. Both were made in China. Does anyone sell these tools that forum members can recommend? Thanks in advance.

Snap-on, Matco, even maybe Craftsman they are all outsourcing to china, So you need to check where it is made before purchasing the tool.. I wont buy tools made in China they are all junk...Good luck on your hunt...Bill

Thanks

I'm at work and for some reason they have Snap On Tools website blocked?! I cannot believe the junk out of China. My brake conversion kit has parts from Taiwan. I've got my fingers crossed...

Thanks to you all, I found that Snap On and Mac Tools both sell far superior versions of the tool. They will cost a lot more than the $10 I paid for the Chinese one but I plan to use them on 3 other cars so this will be a good investment (they run $70 to $80 bucks). Again, thanks for your help.
